Re: [Australian Politics] Australian Politics
Both sides of the political spectrum continue to treat welfare recipients as a problem, offering no solutions to lift them up.
Only they are content the system retains the status quo which only continues to deprive welfare recipients of all dignity.

Re: [Australian Politics] Australian Politics
Whenever the Australian Government implements a points system you just know it's going to be ineffective and dysfunctional.
The points system has never worked.
Yet successive governments continue to roll-out systems based on the fundamentally flawed points system.
It leads me to believe they know it's flawed and ineffective, but they prefer it that way because it keeps the ultimate control in their hands.

Re: [Australian Politics] Australian Politics
My message to the world;
As deranged and dysfunctional Australian politics seems at times, I'm here to tell you there is nobody more deranged than Senator Lidia Thorpe.
She is completely unhinged and should be submitted for a psychological assessment.
Her views in no way represent mainstream Australia, and in fact I'd say she has so few advocates you could probably count them on your fingers and still not use them all.
Please ignore the vision you see of her.
Because most Australians do just that.

Re: [Australian Politics] Australian Politics
This area of workplace law can only be described as the Wild West, where all rights to privacy are flouted as if they never existed.
That bosses can lawfully spy on and surveil the activities and behavior of staff is deeply concerning.
I've made my position clear - I would firmly refuse such surveillance and remind any manager that their role is to manage work outcomes, not monitor every move their employees make.
I will always stand up for the right to privacy, not just for myself, but for others too, no matter who they are.

Re: [Australian Politics] Australian Politics
If this is the best the Coalition can do to attack the Government and make them accountable, then it makes them just as weak and pathetic as the other side.
Here's a revelation: everyday Australians don't give af about which politicians are getting free flight upgrades.
They just don't care.

The COVID-19 Inquiry Report is commendable.
Despite its limited scope, restricted through its limited terms of reference upon establishment, it lashes almost every aspect of Australia's response during the global pandemic.
Instead of complaining about the report's failure to point the finger directly at its political opponents, the conservatives should be grateful we have any report at all.

Re: [Australian Politics] Australian Politics
This is actually really interesting, because the elites have always tried to claim there is no elite class of voters, and that they are just the same as mainstream voters.
This proves we are indeed living in a society of elite vs mainstream voters.
Also, it shows while the elites remain complacent with the political atmosphere, mainstream voters are increasingly becoming frustrated and feeling politically disenfranchised.

Re: [Australian Politics] Australian Politics
5/6 of Australia's Collins-class submarines are out of service.
Only 1 is in the water.
Reportedly, the fleet is suffering from rust and corrosion problems.
And they have to run them light because to not stress them too much.
Now they're debating whether they can even extend the life of them for another 10 years, as planned.
I'm really not surprised if they're rusting away!
Sounds like they're floating death traps and should be a real concern for anyone thinking of a potential career as a Navy submariner.

Re: [Australian Politics] Australian Politics
This is just part of a much wider suite of moves to increase censorship and curb free speech, in Australia.
The People are fed up of this nonsense and we're not standing for tyrannical government overreach anymore.
Just, no.

Re: [Australian Politics] Australian Politics
Prime Minister Anthony Albanese is turning Australia into a big tech and social network no-go zone, through legalizing increased censorship of citizens, while exempting politicians; banning social network usage for under the age of 16; and potentially now looking at mandatory biometric and facial recognition of minors, including your children.
There is no positive way forward, for Australia, under the regime of Anthony Albanese and this far-left Labor Government.
Citizens and voters of Australia must revolt, and remove this regime from power at the upcoming Federal Election.
